small favors

i have been slacking on the blog,
i know.
a lot is going on these days and i have been busy
trying to sort it all out.
the leaves are changing and the chilly winds are blowing!
we got some rain as well these past few days,
so that will make the leaves do what they do.
i discovered a small earthly friend the other day
relaxing under some damp tree bark...
a salamander!
he(or she) was relaxing until i came along and disturbed
his temporary shelter.
i had to move the little nerd because he was in my driveway
which seems like a bad location to set up camp
when you are four inches long.
i figured he would be safer under some hostas
nearer to the side of the house.
it was the least i could do...
salamanders are a sign of luck(depending on who you ask)!
